Once again the Diva has come up with a challenging Challenge, at least for me! How does she do it? For Diva Challenge #272 she directed us to add the color red to our black and white tile, and to have fun while doing it. I delayed this for a few days because I just couldn’t figure out which tangles would work this time with my red pen. But, problem solved, I couldn’t find my red micron pen, and needed a different plan for adding red. So, instead, I tangled with my black micron pen and used my Pitt artist brush to color in red, instead. Why did I think this would be hard?
Since we had been doing summer beach themed tangles for our last few weeks of classes, I decided to just flow with that in choosing which tangles to use for this tile. Besides, it’s my favorite season, summer, and I’m always looking for a good excuse to use beach-y tangles. So many beach-y tangles to choose, I was a little carried away and included Aquafleur, Sanibelle, Kelp, Festune, Angel Fish, Tipple, Jetties, Squid, Roxi, Verdigogh, Squid and Fescu. Happy, happy, joy, joy for all of you fellow Ren and Stimpy fans.
In the end, I loved this tile, I love the splashes of red on it. Perhaps photographing it against a red background was a bit much, but, happy, happy, joy, joy, I have no regrets.
