This week the Diva is vacationing and CZT Suzanne Fluhr has taken on the responsibility of directing our weekly Diva Zentangle® Challenge #275. Suzanne felt that given recent world problems, the need for peace is greater than ever. Therefore, she has challenged us to use that as a theme for our tiles.
Initially I had planned to use a giant peace sign as my string and fill it with tangle patterns. But the more I thought about it, the more I felt that I wanted to retreat to my peaceful place, namely by the ocean. I’ve mentioned before that I’m a zodiac crab (my birthday is just around the corner) and relaxing by the ocean is my happy, peaceful place. So, for the second time this summer I’ve pulled together several aquatic tangles to create my peaceful landscape but this time I did it in color. I recently received a supply of Sakura Gelly Roll pens, and I couldn’t wait to try them out. Perhaps I got a little carried away with the ink flowing from my pens!
As you can see, I became so carried away that I decided to fill in the background, which was probably all good until I added the golden color in the Nipa tangle on top. Oh well, even if the end result isn’t my favorite tile, the relaxation was all good.
Thanks for visiting and your comments this week.
